Could Madison Be Nashville’s Next Hot Spot?
Absolutely!
“I bet you got it twisted, you don‘t know who to trust” – from rapper 2 Pac’s tune All Eyez on Me
But you can trust us that Madison, Tn, the suburban neighborhood that Patsy Cline once called home, is currently having a bit of a renaissance, and NOW is an excellent time to buy in the northeastern part of Nashville.
Madison is only 8 miles north of downtown Nashville, and Ellington Parkway serves as a direct connection from point to point. Until recently, Madison has been riddled with empty storefronts along Gallatin Pike, but despite years of getting snubbed by the “hip crowd”, Madison is currently on the move as new business open up, landmarks are renovated, and a sense of community grows. As for homes in Madison, imagine subdivisions of Madison once occupied by former country legends who lived in the many deluxe ranch houses on oversized yards. Yeah, that’s Madison. And you should really have your eyes on her.

Coming Soon to Madison
And speaking of new businesses opening up in Madison, Yazoo Brewery wised up a few years ago and made their move north of Nashville and others are now following suit. Opening in just a few short weeks is the much anticipated Eastside Bowl. Chark Kinsolving and Jamie Rubin, founders and former owners of Nashville hotspots Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, The High Watt, and Family Wash, partner with Tommy Pierce, investor of Basement East and A+ Storage, are teaming up to open the bowling alley, diner, and live music venue, at 1508 Gallatin Pike South.
For two years, Kinsolving, Pierce, and Rubin have worked on transforming the former Madison K-Mart into a 16-lane bowling facility that includes a live music venue and restaurant. Eastside Bowl will also host an arcade featuring vintage pinball and 1980s video games, as well as a retro bar/lounge area. Eastside Bowl will be open seven days a week, with a soft opening of the bowling alley and restaurant a few weeks prior to the grand opening sometime in November.
And putting down roots next spring will be The Roots Barn. Stemming from the Music City Roots family, The Barn will serve as a platform to emotionally connect performers with the audience. As a music and events venue located in Madison, their team will hosts events nightly, from stand alone concerts, to residencies, Sunday Soul Brunch, Music City Roots Wednesday night shows, private events and MORE!
