Nashville homes for sale that are perfect for fall entertaining

As this is being written, we’re on day two of cold, fall air in Nashville — though we’re also sadly on day two of gloomy rain. The latter will subside soon enough, and, at least in fits and starts, we should be gifted with crisp fall weather, perfect for camping outside by the fire pit with s’mores and mugs of something warm.

Does your Nashville home have an ideal setup for autumn hangouts? Or are you maybe about to start hunting for a new Nashville home, ideally with a deck, patio or other outdoor space that’ll make your place the autumn-2018 place to be?

We’ve had more than a few clients this year whose wish lists have included serious outdoor entertaining space, so we’ve been on the lookout. Sound like you? Below, a few properties that are on the market now in Nashville with outdoor spaces that really grabbed us.

4506 B Belmont Park Ter
Nashville, TN 37215
$1,395,000

This brand-new home in Green Hills is super modern and stylish throughout — tons of sunlight, stained concrete, floating stairs. It’s not cozy so much as it’s sleek, but it does have its cozy spots. In particular: the covered patio with built-in modern fireplace, and plenty of space for hangouts with friends and family.

446 Franklin Limestone Rd
Nashville, TN 37217
$850,000

If privacy is something you really prize, this massive midcentury home in southeast Nashville (our listing) delivers — it sits on just shy of three acres, with natural seclusion surrounding, just about to turn to vibrant fall colors. Tons of work and love went into the hardscaping and landscaping outside, which is all set up with plenty of patio space and an outdoor kitchen area.

1211 B Montgomery Ave.
Nashville, TN 37207
$410,000

Finding newer construction in the heart of East Nashville that’s detached and has a good-sized yard: not always so easy these days. Which is part of what makes this Cleveland Park-area property (also our listing) such a find. Its privacy-fenced backyard has plenty of room for kids and dogs to play, and with two decks, a prime setup for fall get-togethers too.

1211 Mcalpine Ave
Nashville, TN 37216
$425,000

If you’re looking for old-home details, this cute ’40s cottage has a lot to like inside, from cool built-ins to painted pine paneling. But it’s the half-acre yard that really sells it — especially the big, private deck and stone paver patio, already ready for s’mores.

608 Harpeth Trace Dr
Nashville, TN 37221
$489,900

This ’80s contemporary could use some aesthetic attention inside, for sure — the faux finishes might benefit from freshening, full-wall mirrors might warrant removal, and some light fixtures could definitely use some swapping. But the potential is immediately obvious — and this double-level deck is already perfect, and ready for watching the stars on cool November nights.

4403 Idaho Ave
Nashville, TN 37209
$549,900

The word “sylvan” nods to the woods or forest, and the sweet willow behind this updated 1920s cottage in Sylvan Park really packs a woodsy-charm punch, perched next to that covered deck. The yard isn’t huge, at a little under a fifth of an acre, but there’s more than enough space set up for entertaining, playing, gardening and, come spring, maybe snoozing under a favorite tree.

5900 Hickory Valley Rd
Nashville, TN 37205
$949,900

Some of us prefer to keep our outdoor entertaining in a more… indoor setting. This major screened porch in Nashville’s Hillwood Estates, with cozy stacked-stone fireplace, might work just fine there — especially since there’s a built-in grill just outside the door, on a cute patio set off by a stylish arbor.

Any of these catch your eye? Looking for something different in your outdoor-entertaining space, or more focused on what’s inside? Whatever your Nashville dream home might look like, we’d love to help you find it.
