Runners flocking to Country Music Marathon- Tips for this weekend

Something big is about to happen in Nashville.

The St. Jude Country Music Marathon and 1/2 Marathon will bring over 30,000 runners and walkers to Nashville, in addition to tens of thousands of spectators, family and friends.

Kids ROCK presented by YMCA of Middle Tennessee on Sunday April 26 will have over 6,000 child participants!

We encourage you to join the fun! You can visit the free Health & Fitness Expo at the Nashville Convention Center, volunteer during race weekend, or line the course to cheer runners to the finish.

As someone who has participated in lots of Rock n Roll marathon events around the country, it is completely acceptable to be drinking mimosas while cheering on runners. Seeing faces along the way and the cheers do more than you can imagine. Clever signs are pretty awesome too.

To get the most out of your weekend and minimize stress, we wanted to make you aware of the road closures in  your area and remind you to plan ahead and add travel time to your schedule.
