Back For The Future Fundraiser for Old School Farm
Just in case you were sitting around this Monday morning wondering what you might possibly get into this week, we wanted to take a moment to help fill up your social calendar with these great opportunities.
This Saturday evening, August 14, 6-10pm, is a great opportunity to help support Old School Farm’s mission of employing adults with disabilities through their Back for the Future fundraiser. Old School Farm is a nonprofit focused on uplifting their community, and for this special event they are inviting the community out to their farm for live music from the Deloreans, fresh wood-fired pizza, shaved ice, beer, and wine! Tickets are $20. If you go, be sure to take your own blanket!
Tomato Art Fest is BACK!
Friday, August 13, 5-10 p.m. (Preview Party)
Saturday, August 14, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
East Nashville’s wacky, wild, and most creative festival is back! Tomato Art Fest is free to attend and wide open to the public, uniting the community and its visiting guests for a day of inspired art, contests, great live music, unique vendors, creative kids activities, favorite local food trucks, and a commitment to ensuring that the fest is green in every possible aspect and maintains Nashville and community traditions. And, if the festival is anything like it has been in years past, it most certainly will be (in all the ways you can imagine) HOT!
Community is a place where the connections felt in our hearts make themselves known in the bonds between people, and where the tuggings and pullings of those bonds keep opening our hearts.
A strong community helps to build and improve neighborhoods, cities, and beyond. We encourage you to get out and support yours in every way possible. Have fun!
