What with being the capital of the Volunteer State, Nashville doesn’t shy away from pitching in for those in need, and that flows from our residents to our businesses.
Among the latter: East Nashville-based apparel company Project 615, whose business model is based on designing cool clothes, and using their successes to benefit neighbors. Specifically, 615 apparel sales largely benefit Set Free ministries here in Nashville, which helps people recovering from homelessness, drug/alcohol addiction and mental illness. They’ve branched out with other efforts when it’s been needed, too, like their “Heart for the Smokies” T, made to raise funds for East Tennesseans impacted by the wildfires. (To date, they’ve raised more than $100K.)
We’ve been consistently impressed by our neighbors at Project 615, and we think one of the T-shirts they offer particularly encapsulates both what they do and what we see here in our community: their “Spread Love, It’s the Nashville Way” T.
We’re far from alone in loving it — Lady Gaga, for one, pulled on a “Spread Love” T when she was here in East Nashville last year for her Dive Bar Tour.
It felt fitting to spread a little love by spreading some “Spread Love” vibes, so we’re giving away a Project 615 “Spread Love Nashville” T-shirt this month to a lucky friend of ACRE.
