Thinking about moving to Midtown?

moving to midtown

The Nashville TV series has been bringing people to set roots in Nashville in indirect and very direct ways. The Tennessean shared a tidbit this week about director Michael Lohmann, who came here with his family from California for the show, and has since been snatching up property to live and invest in.

His latest property: a former mastering studio on Division Street in Midtown.

Lohmann isn’t planning on turning the building into residential space (a restaurant or arcade are possibilities). But like a lot of neighborhoods right in the center of things here — Downtown, The Gulch, Rolling Mill Hill — Midtown is drawing more and more full-time residents into the idea of a more traditionally urban lifestyle.

Giving some thought to a right-in-the-city home? Here are a few options in Midtown on the market now:

2126 Hayes Street

2126 Hayes Street

Right near the Rock Block and just a stumble from Centennial Park, Music Row and tons of other Midtown places-to-be, this new six-unit development is total luxury, with an open living space with high-end fixtures, unique and beautifully modern stairways and ideal city-living amenities (a two-car garage, rooftop terrace with fantastic views). This 4-bed/4-bath unit is one of four hosting an open house this Sunday, August 9, from 2 to 4 p.m.

904 B 15th Avenue South

904 B 15th Avenue South

More brand new construction right near Music Row, this 3-bed, 3-bath unit is perfect for those of you who love serious headroom — 12-foot ceilings in the living room here. More than 2,400 square feet of living space, too, plus a really cute patio for outdoor entertaining in the heart of Nashville. This one has a sister space on the market too, at 904 A 15th Avenue South.
